ISO CHILE AWABI
(Frozen Seasoned Abalone)

Chilean Locos (a shellfish similar to abalone) is Concholepas concholepas. It is caught in South America and imported by the Japanese to be cooked and included in various salads.
The Chilean abalone is cooked and cut into bite sized pieces. Capelin roe, seaweed, agar-agar and various seasonings are added. Natural color additives and MSG are also used.
Iso Chile Awabi is packed in 4.4 lb white plastic tubs with re-attachable lids. Four tubs are bundled together with plastic straps.
The capelin roe is
bright yellow which gives this salad a distinctive look. The
abalone is slightly chewy. This salad can be used as an appetizer
or an exotic addition to a salad bar or seafood buffet.
